Don’t you just love those days when the sun is out, the temperature is just right for sitting outside all day long, and when you are hungry at 4:00 in the afternoon you can go to your favorite spot and enjoy tasty food with not too many people around? Well last week I had one of those days. I partnered with my favorite restaurant in Nashville and was able to taste their secret taco that is not on the menu, the Ancho Ahi Tuna Taco.
Since my very first visit to Bar Taco in Atlanta GA I have been in love with just about everything they do. Without even tasting the food, I fell head over heels for the aesthetic. If you know anything about me and my husband you should know that we love three things: the coast, the color white, and the color blue. Well Bar Taco is casually decked out in all three so it has been a win win relationship since the beginning. Our living room in our house is quite similar to that of the design of the restaurant and I just love it. In addition to its lovely looks, the food at Bar Taco is simply delicious. It’s not easy finding healthy eats and the fact that I can try several different items on their menu is a big bonus for me. One of my favorite things to order is the Cauliflower Rice Bowl- it’s dairy free, meat free, and scrumptious. But for this visit I was in for a surprise.
First, let me start by saying that I had no background information about this taco so when I went in to eat, I didn’t know much about what would end up on my table. We were served four of the Ancho Ahi Tuna Tacos and they were gone in a matter of minutes! The raw crispy slaw combined with the creaminess of the tuna all wrapped in a lettuce leaf make a really great combination. Fresh, nutritious, and delicious would certainly describe this taco. Next time you visit the restaurant if you are in the mood for something secretive, tell them that you want to try the Ancho Ahi Tuna Tacos, you will not be disappointed!
