Detox Berry Smoothie Bowl

New year, new you! I love how everyone is so inspired this time of year. There is certainly a sense of freshness in the air. This is my first post since before Christmas and I’m happy to be back!

We had a wonderful time on our vacation and rang in the New Year with some great friends. Over the ten days that we were away from home, we traveled to four states, lost our computer along the way, and broke down on the side of the highway in the mountains. It was certainly an adventure but there is nothing like returning home. I am excited to say that we ate really tasty, ultra healthy food and didn’t have to feel heavy and gross from holiday eating.

If this wasn’t the case for you, that’s okay. We’ve all been there. It’s a New Year and time to start (or continue) nourishing your body with whole, plant foods. This smoothie bowl is the perfect place to start! You can really add in any of your favorite superfoods and give it a whirl.

Detox Berry Smoothie Bowl

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Serving Size: 1

Ingredients

  • Ingredients
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1 frozen banana, sliced
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ scoop Amazing Grass Green Superfood Detox and Digest
  • ½ tbsp chopped pecans
  • ½ tbsp shredded coconut
  • ½ tbsp dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup fresh banana, sliced
  • ¼ fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Blend the first four ingredients in a blender until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a bit more almond milk.
  2. Pour into a bowl and top with remaining ingredients. Stir and enjoy!
