Lemon Mint Water

There are few things that will awaken your senses like lemon water. I try to drink warm lemon water every morning just after I get out bed to help wake me up and cleanse my system to get it ready for the day. I drink it warm because cold water is a bit of a shock of the digestive system first thing in the morning and warmer liquids digest more easily. Lemon is a great detoxifier in most forms, juiced, drizzled, or soaked in water. It has an exceptional bright flavor and who doesn’t love that smell?


In this recipe I added a bit of mint to help add flavor and freshness. If you feel like you need a bit of flavor in your drink but know you shouldn’t drink the sugary ones from a bottle, this a great option. You can add any fruit or bright herb that you like!
