I dreamt about Wiley James’s nursery long before we even knew he was coming. I had plans for soft colors and textures mixed with toys that would one day become treasures. When we started creating his space, and saw it coming to life, I knew it would be a special place. We love spending time in the nursery singing, reading, playing, praying and making memories. From floor to ceiling, it’s exactly what we wanted it to be
It was important to me to create a place that was pretty but also practical and healthy! I’m so grateful to have been able to partner with Pottery Barn Kids to make that a reality. Their new line of organic cotton linens is one to be praised. From the sheets to the curtains, everything is super soft and cozy. The fabric is luxurious without being stiff and it’s really helped to make the space enjoyable.

We added these beautiful curtains trimmed with grey ribbon and they are AMAZING! I was never a fan of blackout curtains before having a baby, but now I am. These curtains still do a great job of letting light bounce around the room when they are open but turn off the light when they are closed. Daytime naps, here we come!

I love styling his crib with a few pillows and a blanket but we all know that can be dangerous when babies are sleeping so I just take them out and let his big bear hang on to them. The quilt is such a gorgeous piece that we use a lot for playtime. It’s bigger than a lot of other baby quilts we’ve used so it’s certainly a favorite!
Every momma knows that good quality sleep is crucial and the Owlet is the perfect way to help achieve that (for both baby and momma). It monitors your baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels, and sends an alert when anything seems abnormal. When we first started using it I loved watching the app to see how he was doing (fine of course, but it’s still fun to watch). So if you are a worrier, this is just what you need. It gives you peace of mind that your baby is being well taken care of all night long so you can get restful sleep.

All of these things combined make our nursery such a sweet place to spend time for us and our boy.
I love knowing that there are clean fabrics in here so when his sweet little head lays down to rest there is no question that he won’t get the best sleep! These Pottery Barn Kids pieces have helped take his room up a notch and we are so happy to be able to incorporate them.
