Peach Mint Tea

June 6, 2016

Here we go! We’ve got ourselves another peach recipe. This one is fit for anyone who needs a little cool down. Peach Mint Tea reminds me of summers when I was growing up. My mom would make a big ole pitcher of sweet tea and after an afternoon in the garden, we would sit on the back porch and sip. Listening to the sounds of the bugs and the distant neighbors finishing up their yard work, it made all the hard work well worth it.

This version is made a little bit more happy and healthy with less sugar and more flavor. You are guaranteed to love it! If you have frozen peaches, make sure the thaw them before using them in the recipe. You can use any type of black tea that you like, English Breakfast is just my tea of choice.

Peach Mint Tea

  • 2 quarts water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1/4 cup raw sugar
  • 2 peaches, sliced
  • a handful of mint

  1. In a large pot, boil water over high heat. Once boiling, remove from heat.
  2. Pour in sugar and stir until dissolved. Add tea bags.
  3. Allow tea to steep for about 5-7 minutes (depending on how strong your tea is)
  4. Remove tea bags and drop in sliced peaches and mint. Allow tea to absorb peaches for at least 30 minutes and up to 1 hour.
