It’s the first official day of summer but it’s been feeling like summer for some time now! I know I’ve told you this before but summer is my favorite so to celebrate I made this Blackberry Mint Spritzer. The recipe is simple but is packed with flavor and is perfect for those 95 degree days.
So far my summer season has been busy! We are still renovating our house and now are getting ready for our sweet little baby to enter the world in November. I feel like I’m growing by the minute these days but I really am loving every second of it. I’ve found that I’d rather live in dresses than any other clothes right now and this Draper James Striped Ruffle Dress is so great for summer. It’s 100% cotton and so comfortable.
{These placemats are from the Draper James + Crate and Barrel Collaboration and I absolutely love them. You know me, anything blue or white or a combination of the two is good in my book!}
I think summer is all about finding the best ways to cool off and this drink is the perfect way to do just that! It’s pretty enough to serve at a party and is so refreshing. The sparking water mixed with lemon, mint and blackberries makes a great combination for any hot summer day.
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen blackberries
- 25-30 ounces of sparkling water
- 1 cup simple syrup
- juice of 1 lemon
- handful of mint
- ice
Instructions
- Divide the blackberries evenly into four glasses. Pour sparkling water over each until nearly full. Add ¼ cup of simple syrup to each glass and stir. Squeeze lemon juice into each glass and stir. Muddle the mint and pour into the glasses. Fill the rest of the glass up with ice and garnish with more fresh mint. Serve cold.
